cPanel Control Panel

The cPanel is where you can manage your website, everything from email address to files. You can find the login details in your ‘New Account Information’ email that was sent to you. They will look something like this:

Your cPanel has many options, you probably won’t need many of them but they are there if you do. This guide will cover the fundamentals of getting started and the basics of getting your site online.


Your Domain Name

Inorder for us to activate your web hosting, you must first of all register your domain name (if you don’t already have one registered). If you don’t have a registered domain name, please CLICK HERE to purchase one for less than $10 per year or use other domain name provider of your choice.


Connecting Your Nameservers

Once you have a domain name registered, its time to connect our domain name to our hosting platform. In-order to connect your domain name to our hosting server, you need to map the name servers otherwise it will be impossible to create your website. Unless of course you decide to purchase a domain name and web hosting from the same platform.

Creating / Uploading your Website

There are several ways of creating your website, however the best, easiest and most popularly used method is installing a WordPress Script. You CLICK HERE for more instructions on installing a WordPress Script and creating your website.


Creating Email Accounts

You can create email accounts in your cPanel under the ‘Email Accounts’ section. Email accounts can be created which can be accessed by all desktop software such as Microsoft Outlook and Mac Mail, mobile devices such as iPhone, Android and BlackBerry, as well as webmail. Email can be synchronised between all devices.


How Do I Reset My password for Cpanel

Unfortunately you cannot change passwords yourself from the control panel. If you have forgotten your password or simply looking to reset your password, please contact us with your account username and we will get one set up for you.


I have been Blocked from the Server

If you fail to login too many times the server security software will block you.

If this happens simply place a support request via your client area, stating you have been blocked and the IP address the server is telling you and we’ll get you unblocked ASAP.


Adding A New Wesbite to my Account

With our packages, you can normally host up to a minimum of 3 additional websites under your control panel. If you have a new domain for your second website, you would need to create an ‘Addon Domain‘ on your cPanel account. To do this, please read the following help article – ‘Creating Addon Domains‘.

If you do not have a new domain for your second website, you would need to create a ‘Subdomain‘ on your cPanel account. To do this, please read the following help article – ‘Creating Subdomains‘.
